Douglas K. Baumgardner
Douglas K. Baumgardner received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1973. After graduating from VMI, he was commissioned, served on active duty and in the Virginia National Guard. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1976. From 1979 to 1986, Doug served as the attorney for the town of Washington, Virginia. He was the Commonwealth Attorney for Rappahannock County from 1980 to 1983 and County Attorney from 1980 to 1983. Doug is a former member and Vice President of the VMI Board of Visitors, and served locally as a member of the Rappahannock County School Board. He serves as Commissioner of Accounts for Rappahannock County and as a Commissioner in Chancery.
